The Saudi Equestrian Authority and the Ministry of Education sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance community investment and develop students’ skills in the equestrian sector.

The Saudi Equestrian Authority and the Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Equestrian Authority; His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Equestrian Federation; and His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan. The memorandum aims to enhance joint cooperation, enable investment by the private and non-profit sectors, and expand community participation in equestrian activities across various regions of the Kingdom.
The memorandum seeks to create investment opportunities for the private and non-profit sectors to develop horse-riding schools within educational facilities. This will help provide high-quality opportunities to support students and develop their equestrian skills, while also opening the door for community members to practice equestrian sports—enhancing their social presence and making them more accessible to different age groups.
The initiative contributes to improving quality of life in residential neighborhoods, as horse-riding schools will be located within urban areas of cities, providing an integrated sports and recreational environment that supports healthy lifestyles and strengthens community interaction.
The memorandum also includes frameworks for cooperation in developing educational curricula and supporting gifted students and individuals with disabilities. This aims to increase cultural awareness of the values of equestrianism and its historical and national significance, embed these principles within the educational process, and foster equestrian values among students.
This step comes as part of the efforts of the Saudi Equestrian Authority and the Ministry of Education to build sustainable strategic partnerships, stimulate investment, and expand the base of equestrian practitioners, contributing to its spread across the Kingdom. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in improving quality of life, developing human capabilities, enhancing public health, advancing the sports sector, and empowering the private and non-profit sectors.
