The Equestrian Authority launched the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) platform for the equestrian sector, in cooperation with the Saudi Equestrian and Polo Federation, the Jockey Club, the King Abdulaziz Center for Horses, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and in partnership with the Saudi Reef Academy, Weqaa Center, Qassim University, King Faisal University and a number of success partners. The platform aims to raise the efficiency of workers in the equestrian sector and unify and organize the paths of continuous professional development, in line with the sector’s requirements and needs.
The platform offers specialized training programs and accredited scientific content delivered by a select group of qualified trainers and experts, with each program comprising a number of specialized learning modules. It ensures the provision of continuous training programs for veterinarians to maintain their professional competency and to safeguard the health and welfare of horses. This contributes to strengthening professional qualification and ongoing accreditation for veterinarians, raising the quality of veterinary services, and supporting the efforts of the Saudi Equestrian Authority and its partners in building specialized national competencies that contribute to protecting animal health and welfare and enhancing biosecurity.
This initiative comes as part of the efforts of the Saudi Equestrian Authority and its partners to enhance integration among relevant government entities, support national capacity building, and raise the quality of scientific and training content provided to professionals in the equestrian sector, thereby positively contributing to the development of the sector and the achievement of its objectives.
