HRH Crown Prince Patronizes Saudi Cup Race Ceremony at King Abdulaziz Equestrian Square

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, patronized Saturday evening the ceremony of "Saudi Cup" Race 2023 at King Abdulaziz Equestrian Square in Riyadh.

Upon his arrival at the venue, HRH Crown Prince was received by Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Equestrian Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA), and Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Member of the Board of Directors of JCSA and Chairman of the Technical Committees.

HRH Crown Prince was accompanied by Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet's Member; Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, and Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard.

The royal anthem was played before the start of the race.

Then, the horses participating in the race moved from the grooming arena to the parade ground in front of HRH Crown Prince in a two-round show before the start of the race. All the jockeys participating in the race were also present on the parade ground.

After that, the 8th round of the Saudi Cup began.

Following the end of the Saudi Cup race, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister headed to the awarding platform.

HRH Crown Prince congratulated Hiroo Race Co Ltd., the owner of the race horse Panthalassa, as he lifted the Saudi Cup and was crowned winner of the race.

HRH Crown Prince also congratulated Yoshito Yahagi, the trainer of the race horse Panthalassa, and the jockey, Yutaka Yoshida who received a horse model and a cavalry horse helmet.
